Yesterday, Google unveiled a new version of their Play Store, complete with a re-imagined homescreen featuring a card-based interface, new pull-down menus and a more aesthetically-pleasing layout, an improved search function and brighter colors. Images are bigger, icons are clearer and the whole app just seems better-designed.
Google is pushing out the update worldwide over the coming months, but if you haven't seen it show up on your phone, don't worry: we've got the APK for you right here. All you have to do is download it, transfer it your phone, and install it as if it were any other app not listed in the Play Store. The version – 4.0.25 – simply installs itself on top of your existing Play Store, so it automatically lists all of your downloaded apps and lets you update them as you wish.
The only catch? For those downloading outside the United States, the Play Store homescreen still doesn't include recommendations, personalized cards and featured apps. However, you can still navigate easily and enjoy all of the app's other functions. As soon as Google releases their Play Store app in your area, we're sure your homescreens will look as great as their American counterparts.
